The Results
Our design-build process generates exceptional results, from beautiful home remodels to functional and comfortable accessory dwelling units. See what we can do for you.
During this phase, we’ll get acquainted to see if we are a fit for each other. This involves a deep dive into your vision to make sure that we “get it.” We’ll talk about your budget in relation to your vision, go over scheduling, and explain your role in the project. We’ll be unfailingly honest, telling you what will be fun and what won’t. And we’ll leave you with a complete guidance kit full of useful information to help you better understand us and our process.
Before we can build or remodel, there are certain pre-construction processes we need to handle. These processes involve fees, which are separate from the construction contract. We take care of them through a Professional Services Agreement or PSA. Your PSA will usually include costs for a detailed estimate that assures you a quality, completed project at a guaranteed price, as well as design, demolition, and discovery services. The PSA does not obligate you to enter into a Construction Agreement with us. You own the results of the design work covered by the PSA.
With all or most of the results of the PSA work in hand, we will meet with you to talk through your project. We’ll go over the scope of work, project plan, progress payments, timelines, logistics and concerns. We will take all the time that you need to feel comfortable and confident. You will meet your personal project manager and discuss how communication will be handled.
You have a design. You have a guaranteed price. You have a production plan and a project manager. All that’s left is for us to agree on everything and sign a contract. We will provide a Construction Agreement for our mutual signatures. We will go over and explain every deal of our straightforward agreement.
During the building phase, we will handle all the details of ordering materials, scheduling, oversight, and coordination. We will work diligently to keep you up to date on progress and issues. No matter how carefully we plan your project together, you will probably want to make some changes along the way. We are prepared to cheerfully accommodate any changes you want to make. Our agreement will explain how costs associated with your changes will be handled.
As construction wraps up, we will meticulously inspect your project to ensure that the craftsmanship is up to the highest standards. We will do a final review meeting with you to answer any operational questions regarding appliances, heating and cooling systems, and more. We will do a final clean up to the highest standards possible across your property. We will leave you with a document to list anything you might run across that wasn’t done right and, finally, you will benefit from our industry leading ten-year warranty on our work. We hope you enjoy your transformed home! We appreciate being a part of your dreams.
